This is a Full-Day guided Tour. You will be picked up at your hotel at around 8:30 am. The first destination of your tour along Zanzibar’s East Coast will be the well-knows Jozani Forest.There you will get the opportunity to see the Red Colobus monkeys, with their iconic red back.Zanzibar is the only place in the world where you can find this beautiful species.

If you are coming to the island, you will be wondering where to stay in Zanzibar, and it would be easy to say “wherever you want because the whole island is lovely”, because that would be true! However, let us tell you why we chose the East Coast and our lovely hotel Dhow Inn, and why it is an excellent choice for all visitors.
Your will get a tour through the monkey forest as well as the bordering mangrove forest. Afterwards, you will continue your tour to Kizimkazi Village where you will visit the oldest mosque in East Africa, the Dimbani Old Mosque. Afterwards you will explore the village, see local housing and local living. You will get to taste the local cuisine during your local lunch.
The last destination on your tour will be Jambiani Village on the east coast shore. In Jambiani you will get to see a local sea weed farming getting to know how they plant and harvest the sea weed. This will conclude your cultural east coast tour. You will be transferred back to your hotel together with great impressions of the local living, culture and nature.
